Evaluations & Consultations
Do family members and friends struggle to understand your child? Is your child frustrated because they can’t tell you what they want or need? Are you unsure if your child’s speech is developmentally appropriate for their age? Evaluations and consultations are available year-round to pediatric patients. Families who have concerns about their child’s communication skills can schedule a consultation or full evaluation on an appointment only basis.
Speech Therapy
Beginning in May 2026, we will accept new clients for the upcoming 12 session summer program. Children who are just starting therapy or do not have a current evaluation will be scheduled for a formal evaluation in May 2026. Weekly speech and language therapy services will be provided from June 2nd - August 28th, 2026. A commitment to attend at least 12 sessions will be required to be accepted to the therapy schedule.
Speech Therapy
Speech therapy services at Kids First Communication focus on foundational oral motor combined with sound awareness, placement, practice, and generalization. We serve children with a diagnosis of:

Language development is a critical part of communication. We start with “power words” and signs with our youngest clients and move to understanding and using language to communicate wants, needs, thoughts, and ideas in grammatically correct language context as a client’s language grows. We serve children with a diagnosis of:
Receptive Language Disorder
Expressive Language Disorder
Early Literacy and Phonemic Awareness Difficulties
Social Communication Skills
Social communication is how we combine and use all of our speech and language skills as we navigate our world and our relationships. At Kids First Communication we work to build turn-taking, understanding the importance of paying attention to our communication partners, and the confidence to express ourselves with friends and family in a productive way to make sure needs are met through a Social Thinking (Garcia-Winner) lens. We serve children with a diagnosis of:
