Heather M. Scheer, M.S., CCC-SLP

Heather is a Washington state licensed and nationally certified speech language pathologist with 28 years experience working with children and adolescents with a variety of disabilities. She began her career working in local school districts, which gives her a unique perspective when collaborating with IEP teams. Heather worked in classrooms with profoundly impacted and medically fragile students, classrooms for students with moderate intellectual disabilities, and preschool classrooms, as well as with children who fully participated in general education classrooms with speech therapy support. Upon opening her private practice in 1996, she discovered a passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She has attended numerous conferences around the Pacific Northwest and nationally to increase her understanding about Autism Spectrum Disorders and the impact it has on the child and family from diagnosis to the transition into adulthood. Her private practice client caseload ranges from infants to high school students with a variety of communication challenges.
